Mathew 15:14-16

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

It was a great first week in Parque San Martin!

There are a lot of new changes so I will explain each one seperately:

My new companion is named Elder Vicente. He is such a great guy. He is from Brazil and he is the only member in his family of like 12 haha. He is going home fairly soon so he has a lot of experience and I have already learned so much from him. He doesn´t speak english like at all but I am doing my best to teach him before he heads home!

The ward in this area is so great! They all love the missionaries so much and are always willing to help us out. I would say it is probably the strongest ward I have been in so far. They are the best!

The area itself is ok I guess haha. We share the ward with two other elders and our area is... well.... just fine. Its mostly suburb-ish. It is hard to explain what it is like because I have never seen anywhere in the states that compares to it. Its not anything like a suburb in the states. Its almost all dirt roads and pretty hood- ish. Its just kinda filthy and dark everywhere haha. I´ll just say its not very enjoyable to the eyes and I will leave it at that haha... Its pretty dangerous in some areas and with it being almost winter here it gets dark pretty fast which isn't good. We have already had some....ummm....interesting experiences so far this week but we are working on finding investigators in the few places of our area where there is light and its less dangerous so we don't run into even bigger problems in the middle of winter when it gets darker even earlier.

The missionary work in the area is going fairly well. There are a lot of less active members so we are working with them. We really could use some new investigators though so we are working on that. This week we found this great 17 year old kid named Thomas so that's awesome!

Our apartment is definitely the nicest one I have been in! Which isn´t saying very much but at least its an upgrade! We live with the other elders in our ward so that's pretty fun too!

Well I hope everyone has a great week!

Take care!

First off Happy Mothers day to all the moms out there! You guys are the best!

This week went super well. We had some fantastic lessons with several investigators with a lot of potential.

The new transfer starts today and there is a lot of work here to do. The only thing is I won't be here......because I got transferred! Last night we got our transfer calls and I am going back to the stake of Merlo wear I started! But instead I am going to be working in an area called Parque San Martin! I have no clue what it is like but from what my companion and I have heard it sounds like it is in the city. Which kinda stinks because I have really enjoyed how nice and calm Marcos Paz is but on the bright side I wont be using bikes!

I´m really excited to leave but also super sad. This area has been so great. I was super depressing saying goodbye to all the ward members yesterday. And even worse was saying goodbye to Gladys and Agustin. Being a missionary is so bitter sweet that way.

Today as a district we are going to make tacos and we are all super excited! It has been a long 7 months without Mexican food. But you know what they say, sacrifices bring blessings...

Well I hope everyone has a great week!

I love you Mom!

Such a great week!

On Tuesday we had a zone training. It went great. We learned a ton and we also had our interviews with our mission president. It was a great day. It is always super nice to talk with other people in English haha.

On Wednesday and Thursday it was super cold! Like really really cold!!!!!
The humidity is just so awful. It makes it so whatever you do, you just can't get warm. I had like 6 layers on the whole day but it didn't help at all haha. And it just really stinks because it went straight from being super hot to super cold. Its a struggle but we are hanging in there.

The rest of the week was pretty normal. Nothing too crazy happened.

But on Saturday AGUSTIN GOT BAPTIZED!!!!! It went so great! So many people came and everyone had a great time. He was so happy and excited the whole day. He is such a cool kid. My companion and I are going to miss him so much. It has been such a blessing to be apart of his conversion. We are so excited for all the great things he is going to do in the future!

Life is great, the church is true, and there is no greater joy or satisfaction than sharing the gospel.

I hope everyone has a great week!

It was a pretty awesome week!

First off I just want to say that every week it is getting harder to write these haha. I am going to keep doing my best but everything is just kinda normal now. The weeks just goes by so fast and its all a blur. It´s a struggle.

On Tuesday we had divisions! I left my area and went to another area in our district. It was a pretty great day! We taught several great lessons but the best part was I got to spend the night in their apartment!! It wasn´t nice at all but compared to what I have been living in it was like a five star hotel!!!! There shower actually got warm and had a bit of water pressure. It was a piece of heaven. I will never forget that day.

On Wendnesday night we had a family home evening with a family in our ward. The sister missionaries in our ward and my companion and I brought some investigators and it was a really great night. We had a great lesson and our investigators really enjoyed it. The highlight of the night though was the sisters´investigators... So after the lessons we were all just chatting and joking around and then all the sudden the sister missionaries started to talk about how good of a singer their invesitgator was. They convince her to show us and then all the sudden she starts singing this chorus of an Ariana Grande song! In perfect english and everything! Our mouthes all just dropped! The rest of the night though my companion and I just felt so messed up haha. It has just been a while since we had heard something so feminine and american....

On Friday we had the baptismal interview of Agustin!! He did so great and he is getting baptized this Saturday!! He is so excited and we are too!

I hope everyone has a great week

In case anyone is wondering we only saw 7 dead dogs this week, it was a record all time low.
